The New School

Project Description:

Town and Garden’s maintains most surrounding gardens at the New School, including the Vera List Courtyard at 66 West 12th Street. The Courtyard, designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, features a grove of Red Maple trees and varieties of evergreen bamboo. Thousands of students use the courtyard every day as a common space for relaxing as it provides a calm, green atmosphere, and shade during the summer. Most recently, our team renovated the plantings at the 66 West 12th Street entrance using evergreen bamboo and other grasses to connect with the interior courtyard.
